Mobile/Community Warden Scheme

South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) helps to provide grant funding to expand Mobile/Community) Warden Schemes across the district. These schemes aim to support elderly or vulnerable residents in living independently within their homes and communities.

The key aims for the Mobile/Community Warden scheme are to:

  • give increased coverage and equitable access to support independent living
  • combat loneliness and social isolation
  • offer important low-cost community-based services by local people which will complement the service they get from statutory care providers

The scheme doesn’t duplicate or replace medical and social care services that the client (person) may need.
