Following an investigation it is believed that a fatal flat fire in Kings Hedges started accidentally, and the most probable cause was an electric bike that was charging.

In 2018 Bourn Airfield was allocated in the South Cambridgeshire Local Plan for the development of a new village of approximately 3,500 homes. In 2019 South Cambridgeshire District Council adopted the Bourn Airfield New Village Supplementary Planning Document which sets out what we expect the development to include.
